Sue’s given us a seasonal picture today
Flakes fall like tears from the trees,
Trickling down through the leaves
To kiss the ground below,
No warmth in the blanket of snow.
Soon all will be covered in white,
A blank canvas in fading light,
Animals shiver against the cold,
Many gathered into the fold
As families born in the wild
Wait for climates to turn mild,
Sleep comes with Nature’s dusting,
To awaken again in Spring.
