Saturday Mix: Personification

This week Sarah gets us diving into the depths of PERSONIFICATION. Our challenge is all about the use of personification in our writing. You will need to use the statement provided in your response – which can be poetry or prose.

Our statement using, personification is:

The shadow of the moon danced on the lake

Under the light of a million stars,
The shadow of the Moon danced on the lake
To an orchestra of birdsong
On a gentle breeze.
It had a mind of its own,
Playfully dipping to Nature’s rhythm.
The trees held out their branches
And the Moon stepped into them,
Waltzing and gliding across still waters.
Her shimmery glow provided a path
For the stars to follow:
The shadow had no choice
But to dance in her wake,
And thus Moon and Shadow
United and performed
Their own water ballet.
