I don’t own a pair of shoes as I live in trainers or crocs for short walks or the garden, and shortly before my birthday I invested in a new pair of trainers.
The ones I have been wearing were given to me by my neighbour as they were her husband’s and he had only worn them once. I have worn them every day for 26 months and finally have had to kick them into touch. The insides have now worn and split, though there is still a lot of wear on the soles. However, being diabetic, I have to look after my feet so it would be a little silly to wear shoes that could rub my heels and make them sore.
The replacements are a different colour, but the same make and when I tried them on in the shop, they fitted like a glove. I left them…
